Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Emblem Submission
My submission for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic emblem is a stylized ice skate created from a segment of the Canadian flag with the blue text forming the blade.
Centered on the Canadian flag portion of the Olympic emblem is an Eagle feather which has long symbolized peace, friendship, unity and hope and embodies the harmonious nature of the Olympics. The feather down is represented by the Maple Leaf.
The top of the red portion also represents the magnificent and spectacular mountains of Whistler and is outlined to highlight a dazzling layer of snow.
The blue used in the Vancouver 2010 is a symbol of the beauty and splendor representing the unending cycle of Sea to Sky to Snow and eventually back to the sea.
The four colours used in the Vancouver 2010 Olympic emblem, Red, White, Yellow and Black, represents all the people of the world represented at the Olympics.
